Operating out of three strategically located stations, Grants Pass Fire Rescue responds 24/7 to emergencies including fires, medical calls, rescues, and hazardous materials incidents.
The department has over 30 full-time professional firefighters and paramedics. Beyond emergency response, Grants Pass Fire Rescue has a Fire Prevention Division that conducts inspections, reviews building plans, and provides public education. The department also places a strong emphasis on wildfire preparedness and helping residents be "Firewise". With a mission focused on preventing loss of life and property damage, Grants Pass Fire Rescue aims to serve its community through prevention, education, enforcement and response.
