Serving Oregon's thriving hub of Central Oregon, the Bend Fire Department provides fire suppression, emergency medical services, and fire prevention to the City of Bend. With three strategically located stations, the Department can rapidly respond to calls within the city and newly annexed areas.
The Bend Fire Department relies on a team of highly trained career firefighters and support personnel to serve the community. The Department's firefighters undergo regular training to stay prepared for structural and wildland fires, medical emergencies, rescues, hazardous materials response and more. Paramedics and EMTs deliver cutting-edge prehospital emergency care.
In addition to emergency response, the Bend Fire Department places a strong emphasis on community risk reduction through fire inspections, code enforcement, and public education programs. The Department actively works to make Bend fire safe through school programs, smoke alarm installations, wildfire preparedness outreach, and partnerships with organizations like Project Wildfire and FireFree Bend.
With Bend growing rapidly, the Fire Department is dedicated to expanding capabilities and facilities to match the community's needs. A fourth station, new ladder truck, and additional response units are planned to enhance services. The Department also coordinates closely with neighboring fire agencies for mutual aid response.
With a deep commitment to protecting lives, property and environment, the Bend Fire Department strives to serve as responsible stewards and prepared responders. The Department's personnel look forward to continuing a tradition of exceptional service and community collaboration.
