Established in 1901, the Woodburn Fire District is centrally located in the Willamette Valley, Marion County, providing fire protection and advanced life support emergency medical services to 40,000 residents over a 75-square-mile area, including Woodburn, Gervais, and surrounding rural areas.

Operating four fire stations, with a fifth under construction, the district benefits from a growing tax base and strong community support, enabling state-of-the-art equipment and fire apparatus. The district emphasizes comprehensive training based on Underwriters Laboratory and NIST recommendations. In 2022, they responded to 3,380 emergency incidents.
