Winston Dillard Rural Fire Protection District

The Winston-Dillard Fire District (WDFD) serves an area of about 30 square miles using both career and volunteer staff. They operate a transporting ambulance service covering 310 square miles and respond to over 2300 alarms annually. WDFD’s mission is to serve and protect the community through emergency medical training and fire service training. The organization values honesty, integrity, trust, respect, compassion, teamwork, courage, and brotherhood. They contract administrative services with Douglas County Fire District #2 and staff each shift with three paid personnel.
