The Sweet Home Fire District's history dates back to October 1938, when it was established in Sweet Home, Oregon. Over the decades, it has grown from a small volunteer department into a comprehensive fire and ambulance district serving over 16,000 residents across 159 square miles. The district has expanded through annexations and infrastructure improvements, including multiple fire stations and upgraded equipment. It continues to evolve, providing essential emergency services to the community.
