Mohawk Valley Rural Fire District

The Mohawk Valley Rural Fire District is a small rural fire district located NE of Springfield. The district is 21 miles long and responds to about 450 calls a year. The calls for service are handled by 4 paid staff and about 28 volunteers.

The Mohawk Valley Rural Fire District is committed to providing exceptional fire protection services to the communities within the Mohawk Valley region. Our mission is to deliver reliable and efficient emergency response, promote fire safety, and enhance community resilience through education and preparedness. With a dedicated team of professionals and volunteers, we strive to uphold the highest standards of service and commitment to the safety of our residents. Through ongoing training and community engagement, we aim to protect lives and property while fostering a safer and more informed community.
